    The eastern bank of Gulshan Lake in the diplomatic quarter faces open water with relatively unobstructed views at sunrise. The lakeside walkway runs along Gulshan Avenue and is freely accessible.

Best sunset spots in Dhaka

  1. Hatirjheel Lake

    From the western walkway near Tejgaon, the sun sets beyond the opposite bank with the lake in the foreground. The 7.8 km promenade is lit after dark.

  2. Sadarghat, Buriganga River

    The western-facing riverbank at Sadarghat looks directly toward Keraniganj on the opposite shore, where the sun sets over flat terrain. Access is free; the area is busiest in the late afternoon when river traffic peaks.

    Facing west from the monument, the horizon is largely unobstructed. The drive from central Dhaka takes roughly 45-60 minutes by CNG or bus via Mirpur Road.
