Best sunrise spots in Alexandria

1. Fort Qaitbay

   The fort sits on a narrow peninsula in the western part of the Eastern Harbor, with water on three sides. Face east toward the harbor entrance at dawn; admission is around 100 EGP for foreign visitors.

2. Montaza Palace Gardens

   These public gardens in eastern Alexandria extend to the coastline and provide a clear northeast-facing view over the sea. Admission is roughly 15 EGP; private beach sections require an additional fee.

3. Stanley Bridge

   The bridge spans a small bay in the Rushdi district, elevated about 8 meters above the water. The view opens northeast at sunrise along the coastline past the cove; about a 10-minute walk from San Stefano metro station.

3. Corniche Anfushi

   This stretch of the western corniche between Anfushi and Ras El-Tin faces northwest over open water. It is a free public walkway with several small cafes open in the evenings.

4. Agami Beach

   Agami lies about 20 km west of central Alexandria and faces the open Mediterranean to the northwest. Quieter than city beaches with parking on-site; drive west along the coastal road from Alexandria city center.
