Incheon sits on South Korea's Yellow Sea coast, giving the city consistently clear western horizons over the water. Beaches, tidal flats, and several hills within the city provide a good range of viewpoints in all directions.
The 395 m summit gives a clear view east over the city rooftops. Trailheads start near Gyeyang Station (Incheon Metro Line 1), and the ascent takes about 40 minutes.
The park's eastern lawns along the central canal have no tall buildings blocking the horizon to the east. Located in Songdo International City, reachable via Metro Line 1 (Incheon National University of Transportation Station).
South Korea's second-largest urban park, in Namdong District, is accessible from Incheon Grand Park Station (Metro Line 1). The elevated open meadows in the upper section face east and catch the first light without obstruction.
A west-facing beach on Yeongjong Island, around 10 km from Incheon International Airport and reachable by bus (route 222 from Unseo Station). The open sandy shoreline provides a clear, unobstructed view of the Yellow Sea horizon.
Connected to the mainland by a causeway 3 km west of Incheon Station, Wolmido has been Incheon's classic sunset spot for decades. The western waterfront promenade faces open water and is free to access.
Located in Namdong District (bus stop: Sorae Ecological Park), this tidal flat park sits at the edge of the Yellow Sea with a flat, open western horizon. The shallow wetland water reflects the evening light well.
The western slope looks directly toward the Yellow Sea and Ganghwa Island with no significant obstructions. A small pavilion near the top makes it a popular spot with locals, especially on weekends.
The central canal reflects the evening sky, and the western walkway near the marina offers an open view toward the sea. Entry is free.
