Kyiv sits on high right-bank bluffs above the Dnipro, giving the city an open eastern horizon over the river for sunrise. The same elevated terrain, combined with hilltop parks, provides clear western views for sunset.
The monastery's terrace and bell tower stand 96 meters above the Dnipro on east-facing bluffs, with an unobstructed view over the river and the flat left bank. Upper grounds are free to enter; the lower monastery complex charges around 200 UAH. Nearest metro: Arsenalna.
The eastern edge of the alley follows the upper city bluffs above Podil and looks toward the Dnipro in the distance. Access is free and round-the-clock; the main path starts near the top of the historic Podilski Stairs.
This flat island in the middle of the Dnipro has a clear, low eastern horizon above the left bank. Reach it via the Parkovyi pedestrian footbridge from the right bank embankment; entry is free and the bridge is accessible in the early morning.
The elevated plaza around the 62-meter statue faces east over the Dnipro with an unobstructed river view. The outdoor grounds are free to enter and accessible from Arsenalna metro via a short bus ride or 20-minute walk.
At the western end, the alley opens onto viewpoints above Podil facing the city roofline and the sky to the west and northwest. The path is about 1.5 km long with multiple clearings.

From the same elevated position, the view turns west over the Pechersk district and the city skyline. The shield platform (91 m) can be booked separately for 300 UAH under favorable weather conditions.
At the Obolon embankment, the Dnipro bends so the riverfront faces northwest, putting the setting sun over open water in summer. The park is free, open daily from 5:00 to 24:00, and directly accessible from Obolon metro station.
