The 70th-floor observation deck at 30 Rockefeller Plaza offers 360-degree views. Sunrise tickets are available seasonally; standard admission starts at $40.
The elevated pedestrian walkway runs east-west, giving clear sightlines toward the sunrise over Brooklyn and the harbor. Free access 24/7; enter from City Hall Park (Manhattan side) or Washington Street (DUMBO).
Open-air top deck without glass barriers faces west toward the Hudson. Last entry is typically 70 minutes before closing. Central Park and the Empire State Building are both visible.
Walking from Brooklyn toward Manhattan puts the sunset directly ahead, framed by the skyline. The walk takes about 30 minutes end to end; plan to reach the middle of the span before sunset.

A floating park at Pier 55 in Hudson River Park, elevated above the water with west-facing views over the Hudson toward New Jersey. Free entry (timed tickets required on summer weekends). Open 6am to 1am in summer.
